My experience in education has exposed me to best practices and poor practices that either increase student confidence then achievement or create barriers to success that stifles growth. Through self-development and professional training, I have learned that expertise within an organization is necessary to thrive.
After increasing student achievement as a turnaround instructional leader in urban education, I am ready to take these skills and strategies for change to assist your organization with meeting its mission and vision.
I have accomplished strategic recruiting and retention efforts which resulted in increasing the BIPOC population from 13% to 34% and tripled the number of male teachers during my principal tenure.
Eventually, moving up to central administration to support other principals in their journey toward school improvement, student achievement, and building a culture of collaboration.
